​METAL AND GLASSWORK

F​or almost 50 years I have been designing and fabricating art from glass and metal, initially leaded glass, then brass and glass and now even steel and glass.

The evolution began when I wanted stained glass to move and overlap casting colored images. The non-ferrous scrapyard was like a playground of shapes. It was almost like the shapes wanted to be assembled into tables, benches, fountains and sculpture.

After a 12 year run as the literal Frank Stone Gallery, and a 9 year hiatus from shows we are back as a virtual gallery, highlighting my recent work online as well as a yearly show at my studio and home in Wisconsin.

Frank Stone is a master artisan of glass and metal. The marriage of these unique materials produces highly distinctive designs.

Frank has always been concerned about the environment and believes the salvage yard is the best place to find the beginnings for his art. His one-of-a-kind furniture, sculptures and fountains result from his reworking the brass and copper found there.
